Talya Jacoby is a jazz pianist, composer, and arranger based in New York City.

At just eighteen, New York City based Talya Jacoby is already a seasoned jazz pianist. She plays private events, concerts, and festivals solo and as a bandleader and also teaches private lessons in piano and music theory.

Talya has performed with the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Big Band and Jazz Combo, the French Woods Jazz Ensemble, the Manhattan School of Music Summer Big Band, and jazz band Crescent. Growing up in NYC, Talya was exposed to a diverse range of artists and musicians that continue to shape who she is today. Her favorite place to be is at the piano bench, where she draws inspiration from Chick Corea, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Kenny Barron, Fazil Say, and João Gilberto.

Talya began playing piano at age five under the instruction of William Cammarota and started studying jazz piano in middle school. Talya formerly studied guitar with Vern Woodhead, cello with Jordan Brown, and piano with Henrique Eisenmann. She currently attends The Dalton School and studies piano with Joe Block. Talya is also a student at the Manhattan School of Music’s precollege jazz program, where she studies with Jeremy Manasia.
